Tenerife Camel Park

There are two main Tenerife camel park attractions; one is in the north of the island and the other in the south. They are both run and maintained by the same Canarian family, both offer exactly the same facilities, and either is frequently on the list of things to do for those on holiday in Tenerife. The first camel park is in the northern town of El Tanque, roughly situated at the midway point between Santiago del Teide and Icod de Los Vinos on The TF- 82. The attraction is easily spotted from the main road and has ample parking should you arrive by hire car.

Karting Club Tenerife

Karting Club Tenerife is situated in the south of the island between the Golf del Sur resort and Los Cristianos. It is arguably the number one outdoor, all weather, racing track in Europe. There are two tracks, one for children and a 1200 metre international circuit for the older visitors.

Castillo San Miguel or the San Miguel Castle as it is known in English is situated in the village of Aldea Blanca and is only a few kilometres from the main Tenerife airport and the Golf del Sur resort in San Miguel de Abona in the south of Tenerife. If you are looking for things to do in Tenerife, this should be near the top of your list.

Tenerife Carnival - Santa Cruz

Every week there seems to be a new carnival or fiesta somewhere in Tenerife, but the highlight of the year is the Santa Cruz carnival (named locally as Carnaval - Santa Cruz de Tenerife) which is truly a spectacular event.

As with all carnivals, which are religious in their nature and especially in their origins, carnival season is based around the religious calendar around the time of Lent i.e. 40 days before Easter. This is normally in February, but be careful as it does vary somewhat.

Aqualand

The Aqualand water park, in Costa Adeje is located in the south of the island close to Playa de Las Americas, and offers an excellent variety of tourism activities which include a dolphinarium and water park with attractions for all ages. Aqualand's most popular water attractions include Kamikaze, Super Slalom, Twister, Anaconda, Crazy Race and Mini Park, but the star attraction of this fantastic water park is the Boomerang. Inaugurated in 2004.  Boomerang is a vertiginous round trip on a large float; a trip that will leave you gasping for breath.

Loro Parque

Loro Parque - Tenerife was opened in 1972 and has since received over 34 million visitors, making it the number one attraction in Tenerife. Based in the north of the island in the town of Puerto de la Cruz, the park has grown from its original size of 13,000 square metres, to a staggering 135,000 square meters. "The Parrot Park" as it was previously known, has become home to nearly 4000 parrots making it officially the world's most diverse parrot collection.

Jungle Park - Eagle Park

The Jungle Park, or Parque las Aguilas, or the Eagle Park - This famous Tenerife attraction is known by several names, but for the purposes of this article, let's just call it the Jungle Park. It features a host of animals and birds, all set in a true tropical jungle setting. Europe's first zoological and botanical gardens providing education and entertainment for the whole family. This Tenerife attraction is a true adventurers paradise complete with walkways and rope bridges throughout the 75,000m2 of jungle.

Siam Park - The Water Kingdom

Siam Park - the Water Kingdom opened their doors to the public in September 2008 as the most spectacular water park of its kind in Europe. At a cost of 52 million Euros, and at the top of the list of things to do in Tenerife, it was opened by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Thailand Maha Chakri Sirindhom. Siam Park adds a whole new dimension to Tenerife attractions and leisure activities in the Canary Islands.

Siam Park is located just off the main motorway and is only a couple of minutes drive from Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas.
