A good number of people who intend to sell their property in Golf del Sur, Amarilla Golf or the wider Costa San Miguel area in euros instead of sterling have been asking us how to repatriate the money back to the UK and get it changed from euros back to sterling? The most obvious and efficient way is to transfer the money by electronic transfer direct to your UK account. You have the option of sending the money in euros, in which case your UK bank will convert it to sterling at the rate of the day that it is received.

Alternatively you can opt for your Spanish bank to send the money in sterling to your UK account. With the second option you will probably be able to fix a rate with the Spanish bank up to four days prior to sending the funds.

The other alternative is that you use a specialist currency broker who deals in international payment both to and from the UK which would give you a better rate of exchange. However be very careful that you choose a well known and trusted broker.

Tenerife Property News from the Homes and Away Office

It has been another busy week for us with a number of clients looking to purchase Golf del Sur property and Amarilla Golf property we have also had two completions at the Notary of which one was an Amarilla Golf apartment and the other was a Golf del Sur apartment. We have also taken appointments for the next few weeks and into November giving us the feeling that things are getting gradually better.
