For those of you waiting to sell your Golf del Sur property or your Amarilla Golf property, or indeed for those of you wishing to purchase a property in either of Golf del Sur or Amarilla Golf, I have to tell you that after much investigation it has been revealed that 2010 was the most difficult time in the last 20 years to purchase property. But do not despair as with 2010 now out of the way and the 2011/2012 selling season upon us we are optimistic that things will only get better.

It has recently come to our notice that a number of Golf del Sur property owners and Amarilla Golf property owners are receiving letters from the ¨Agencia Tributaria¨ advising of possible legal action being taken and Embargos being put on bank accounts due to outstanding basura bills, IBI bills etc. This has all been caused by local Ayuntamientos who are short of funds checking all their records for any non-payment of these bills.

It always pays to check your bank accounts at the relevant times of year to ensure that all standing orders have been paid and you are up to date with all your payments. For those of you who pay cash please ensure that you have the receipts to show that these bills have been paid. Failure to keep up to date can cause you unnecessary hassle along with fines.

Homes and Away Office Update

This week has been a quiet week with not to many people around and it has given us a chance to catch up with things in the office after a busy few weeks. Paperwork up to date, Sold board signs put out and new property taken on has been the order of the week this week. A few more swallows have returned this week for the winter and many of them have called in to see us and have been pleasantly surprised at the amount of bargain Golf del Sur properties and Amarilla Golf properties we have on our books.
