Just a quick thought...One option to make life easier when you book a car hire in Golf del Sur, is to rent a car with a satellite navigation system. Bring your own, or book one ready for when you receive your rental car in Golf del Sur or Tenerife South airport.
This can be a great idea if you are unfamiliar with Tenerife roads or are slightly nervous about driving in a foreign country. If you already own a Sat-Nav system in the UK which is a mobile one similar to the popular Tom Tom device, then many of the newer models do cover the entire European continent which includes the Canary Islands and Tenerife. If you have an older model which does not include Tenerife, then you can purchase SD cards or you can download the maps straight in to your computer and later transfer them to your satellite navigation system via an SD card.
The modern driver is used to using a Sat-Nav system, especially in the United Kingdom - and most of us use one daily. You can type in the address or post code to take you to the destination of your choice, but what a lot of people do not realise is that you can type in the latitude and longitude coordinates also. This is fantastic for people who wish to hire a car on their Tenerife holiday.
By doing a little research using Google Earth or Google Maps, or many other specialist web sites, you can find all the places you want to visit and see in advance of arriving to Tenerife. If you own your own satellite system you could even pre-install all your favoured destinations before you arrive. A fantastic idea! Wouldn't it be easy if you arrived in Tenerife for the first time, plugged in your Tom-Tom and hey presto, the directions to your holiday accommodation in Golf del Sur popped straight up?
With so many places to see and explore in Tenerife from your Golf del Sur base, you and your family will have fun researching where they all want to go. No doubt the younger members of the family will wish to visit Loro Parque in the north and Siam Park in the south of the island, you could even choose your route and get directions from your holiday apartment straight to the front entrance of Aqualand. Doing a little research before you arrive will also allow you more time to explore, making your Golf del Sur car hire experience all the more fun.
