Taxi fares to Golf del Sur are very reasonably priced from Tenerife South Airport as it just a few kilometres away. A taxi should cost you around 12 /16 Euros each way, depending on your final destination. This fare is much less than the official airport transfer will cost, so do take this into account when booking your Tenerife holiday. Once you have finally arrived and settled into your Golf del Sur holiday accommodation, if you want to get out and about in Tenerife by taxi then you shouldn't have any problems to get or to book one. There are many taxi ranks in Golf del Sur, so waiting for a cab should only take a few minutes. You can also pre-book one if you need to guarantee a pick up time or if it is late at night. The taxi receptionists do speak a little English so make sure you speak slowly and clearly and you'll have no problems in making a booking.

Taxi prices to the main resorts of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are around 25 Euros each way. Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos are only 15KM or so from Golf del Sur and the journey only takes between fifteen and twenty minutes. Golf del Sur Buses

Tenerife's bus system has greatly increased its service over the last few years with buses now being run regularly. The local bus company is called TITSA and their buses are easily recognisable, being bright green in colour! There are two main bus services which pass through Golf del Sur; the 483 and the 470. The 483 bus service runs between Playa de Las Americas, Los Cristianos, Golf del Sur. Los Abrigos and El Medano. The 470 bus service runs between Granadilla, San Isidro, El Medano, Los Abrigos, Golf del Sur, Costa del Silencio, Las Galletas, Palm Mar and Los Cristianos.

Golf del Sur has six bus stops and these can be found opposite the main Golf Club House, The Medical Centre, The Golf Plaza Hotel, Winter Gardens, Terrazas de La Paz and just before the turning to Fairway Village. Bus services are regular throughout the day but the evening bus services are still a little poor. Other Buses Serving Golf del Sur

The other local bus which runs through Golf del Sur is the 115 service. The 115 runs from Santa Cruz in the North of Tenerife to Las Galletas/ El Fraile in the South. It runs along the motorway and stops off at Candelaria, Guimar, Chimiche, Granadilla and the airport. This bus service only stops on the motorway going northwards towards Santa Cruz. Going the other way from Golf del Sur, the bus stops off and passes through, Golf del Sur, Guargacho, Costa del Silencio, and Las Galletas before it turns round in El Fraile and does the return trip.

BONO Bus Tickets

One of the cheapest ways to get around Tenerife is by pre-purchasing a BONO bus ticket. BONO tickets can be purchased at any main bus station or at the airport on your arrival. The shop to purchase them at the airport is called Alpizpa which is a Canarian craft shop and can be found opposite gate 45 in the departure area. Opening times are Mon/Tues/Friday 8am until 8pm, Wed/Thurs/Sat/Sun 10am till 6pm. BONO cards cost either 12 Euros or 30 Euros and can be used on all TITSA bus services including the trams in and around the capital of Santa Cruz, Your BONO ticket gives you a saving of between 30 and 40% on each journey, they can be used by anyone and are valid for 12 months. Should your BONO card run out then you just pay the difference to the bus driver. If you require a new BONO card then you can buy one at the main bus station in Playa de Las Americas.
