June has been a rather strange month at Amarilla Divers in Golf del Sur. It started very busy with lots of courses and divers then had a nice relaxing period, but finished with a BANG. We had lots of different diving courses this month ranging from beginners to advanced, children to professional courses and everything in between. Everyone had a great time and we got some excellent photos and videos that are on our Facebook page plus the videos are now on our YouTube page

Rachel our Dive Master who has been with us since March, finally completed her internship in style she did an amazing job. We are very proud of her achievement and now look forward to helping her through the Instructor course in September. Rachel will now be working as part of the dive team for the summer months and will be taking the fun dives in the pool on Wednesdays & Saturdays, so pop down and see her between 11.30 – 12.30.

The diving started with George & Zinnia, brother & Sister from England who were here to visit their Nan and they complete their PADI Junior Open Water course with our Staff Instructor Neil. They both did a fantastic job and were so confident in the water and with their skills. After their course they went along to El Puertito and had a pleasure dive with the Turtles. We are looking forward to seeing more of these guys in the Summer Holidays.

We also had some Bubble makers this month with Kay, Chloe & Georgia. Amarilla divers always has excellent fun in the pool with the under 10’s and we had lots of games to play including the egg & spoon race! We know we will definitely be seeing these guys back again and they will upgrade to the PADI Seal Team soon enough.

During the month of June we also welcomed our new Dive Master Intern in to Amarilla Divers dive team, his name is Iain and he will be staying with us for the summer and will then be joining Rachel to complete his Instructor course in September. We will be updating regularly on Facebook with his progress.

• The PADI Scuba Tune up course

All in all a very good month for diving!

There were also divers of different levels and we visited some of the best dive sites that Tenerife has to offer and even found a few more. We had Sting rays, Turtles, Eagle Rays, Moray Eels and much more plus Wreck, Reefs and swim throughs. June brought in some great divers, great weather and great dive sites. What more could you ask for!!
