The experienced husband and wife team of Neil and Mary run Amarilla Divers, a professional PADI dive resort based in Golf del Sur at the Aguamarina Golf Apartments. Neil is currently a high level instructor & is a PADI IDC Staff instructor, whilst Mary is a PADI Specialty Instructor. Well many things have been happening over the last few weeks and as the run up for Christmas approaches we are getting ready for our annual Christmas Eve dive. We have said goodbye to our current Dive Master interns David & Felipe. They were both here with Amarilla Divers for 3 months to complete all their PADI Courses to take them to professional level. David left us an Assistant instructor and now goes back to Sunny Scotland, where he intends to open up his own PADI dive centre in Fife. He will be back for his instructor’s course early in 2012, but for now is braving the SNOW in Scotland.

This is a question many of us ask ourselves. Well why not come down to see us in Golf del Sur and see one of our instructors and chat about having a quick dip in our pool on one of our FREE try dive days. This will answer the question for you. The free try dives in the pool give you the opportunity to see what it feels like to breath under water for the first time. I will also give you a chance to ‘fly’ through the water with the help of one of our Professional divers.

Sorry for the delay in our regular blog, we have been busy with the Golf del Sur summer season with lots of diving and courses. We had many of our return customers over the month of August and this time they came back to do some PADI dive courses. Tony was with us for his Rescue Diver course, Emergency First Response course and some Specialty courses, Deep & Digital Underwater Photography.

Well the summer is upon us and so are the tourists. Golf del Sur is getting busy by the day and so is our Dive centre. We are now in the season of our Discover Scuba Diving courses, with students of all ages from 10 years and upwards. We have even had whole families arrive to try diving together who had a fabulous time.

June has been a rather strange month at Amarilla Divers in Golf del Sur. It started very busy with lots of courses and divers then had a nice relaxing period, but finished with a BANG. We had lots of different diving courses this month ranging from beginners to advanced, children to professional courses and everything in between. Everyone had a great time and we got some excellent photos and videos that are on our Facebook page plus the videos are now on our YouTube page
