Golf del Sur and the rest of Costa San Miguel, which includes the surrounding area of Amarilla Golf and Residential San Blas, have an excellent and varied nightlife scene. OK, it probably doesn't have as much going on as the nightlife in the main south tourist resorts of Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas, but not everyone wants to jump in a rental car every night to join in with the masses.

With year round excellent weather, The sports resorts of Amarilla Golf and Golf del Sur are blessed with two superb world class golf courses as well as an International Bowls Arena and a Fantastic Spa & Wellness centre. These attractions as well as the new Marina San Miguel and the flourishing local dive centres bring in a flood of regular visitors eager to quench their thirst and sample the local restaurants once the sun sets.

The local Golf del Sur bars and restaurants, scattered as they are around the resort, all seem to have a nice and steady daytime trade, especially around the weekends when the "armchair sportsmen" amongst us enjoy getting out to watch the huge variety of televised sporting events.

Once the early evening draws in, many bars and restaurants will try to tempt you through their doors with offers of happy hour prices for thirsty visitors and early evening dining specials to tempt families and couples to eat out on the restaurant sun terraces. Keep an eye open for these special offers as some excellent savings can be made.

Later into the evening, many Golf del Sur bars and restaurants offer a variety of live entertainment to keep everyone amused. These shows really are of an excellent professional standard. The fabulous "Colin Stevens Show" can be seen every Sunday in The Palms Pool Bar & Restaurant. Colin is exclusive to The Palms and puts on a tremendously entertaining show which should not be missed. Equally as good are the Irish Nights in Both Grandee O'Donnells and The Wild Geese.

In the San Blas "top square", the ever popular Jo Cassidy is the resident compare, and you will find nightly entertainment with different acts appearing throughout the week alongside Jo.

The Rendezvous Bistro in Winter Gardens is also a great venue and offers a variety of entertainment on a weekly basis, as does the Volare Show Bar next to the Aguamarina Golf Apartments.

Some of these entertainment bars stay open very late and will serve customers until the last one leaves, but for those wishing to carry on the night, then Golf del Sur does have a nightclub which can be found in the bottom corner of the San Blas Commercial Centre, near to the Vincci Golf hotel. The Taboos Nightclub is well established in Golf del Sur, it has been there many years and is a great place to dance the night away until around 4 a.m. whilst listening to all the classics.

Nightlife in Golf del Sur also conjures up such delights as quizzes, karaoke and other fun and games nights if this is the sort of entertainment that you are looking for. Equally there are many night spots where you can hide away from all the hustle and bustle if you prefer a romantic night for yourself and your partner. Whatever nightly entertainment you wish to see or participate in then remember Golf del Sur and the wider area of Costa San Miguel is packed with entertainment venues to keep you and your family fully entertained on your holiday to Tenerife.
