Around the Golf

As you would imagine in one of Tenerife’s growing holiday resorts, there are a multitude of bars and restaurants in Golf del Sur. Every conceivable taste and choice can be catered for in this fine and upmarket holiday village.
There are two main areas in Golf del Sur where you will find an assortment of nightlife, bars and restaurants: one being the main area of San Blas and the other being in and around the area of Golf del Sur seafront, near the Winter Gardens and the Aguamarina Golf Hotel.
The San Blas commercial centre is packed with bars and different venues. There are many different restaurants also in this area, catering for everything from "cheap and cheerful", up to fine a la carte dining, and with a very varied choice of food. The bars and restaurants in Golf del Sur are all vying for customers each night, with many bars providing different offers and "happy hours" and a host of entertainment options. Quiz nights and karaoke are available, as is some excellent live entertainment. But for those looking for quiter, more romantic evenings, Golf del Sur offers many more secluded bars and restaurants to get away from the crowds.
The seafront area around Winter Gardens and Aguamarina Golf is a little more spread out than the San Blas centre, but still has much to offer - especially if you like good entertainment. Many tourists and residents spend the early evening here, relaxing whilst looking at the sea and the sunset. This area houses many restaurants, both internationally and locally owned and offering an extremely wide choice.
For those who appreciate good entertainment, there are three large bars in this area, all about 100m from each other that offer a great and varied choice of live evening entertainment.
There are many other exciting places to wine and dine on Golf del Sur other than San Blas and the Golf del Sur seafront. Most of the Golf del Sur hotels and other complexes have their own restaurants, bars and take-aways. In fact, some of the best bars in Golf del Sur are to be found hiding away in certain resort villages. With a large amount of local residents to cater for, many of these local pool bars and pubs have a very good local trade and can feel friendlier than those bars and restaurants that cater mainly to the holiday tourists. These bars can give the feeling that you are in a local pub rather than a bar in a holiday resort. Prices in these local bars can also be a lot more competitive as owners are fighting as much for the resident trade as they are for the tourism business.
Another bonus for using the community bars on the complexes is that the food is normally excellent and most offer free delivery providing that you are staying in Golf del Sur or Amarilla Golf.
Weekend entertainment and weekday activities such as quiz and karaoke nights are aslo available in these establishments. One of the bars in Fairway Village even has a deli counter inside where you can buy pies, sausage rolls, cakes and fruit puddings to take away.
Wherever you are staying on Golf del Sur or Amarilla Golf, check out the local bars and restaurants in the many different complexes and you might be pleasantly surprised.
