This is a question many of us ask ourselves. Well why not come down to see us in Golf del Sur and see one of our instructors and chat about having a quick dip in our pool on one of our FREE try dive days. This will answer the question for you. The free try dives in the pool give you the opportunity to see what it feels like to breath under water for the first time. I will also give you a chance to ‘fly’ through the water with the help of one of our Professional divers.

You may even decide that you enjoyed it so much, you would like to take it further and become one of the many 1000’s of new divers each year. Either way you will know for sure if diving really is for YOU!. Here is a brief run down of what has been happening at Amarilla Divers in Golf del Sur over the last few weeks.

PADI Dive Courses in Golf del Sur

We have had lot of courses running lately and have certified some new open water divers and sent them off to spread the word. We have also had some advanced courses running, which help divers advance their underwater experiences and education and also allows them to see some different type of dive sites.

Our speciality courses have been very popular this month and we have had some Boat Divers, Enriched Air Nitrox Divers, Drift Divers, Deep Divers and also some Night Diver specialty courses running.

The Enriched Air Nitrox course is becoming more popular and has now been made a little easier with the introduction of the Computer exams. This course will allow you to dive on a higher content of O2 and allows you longer time at shallower depths.

Amarilla Divers have also had many of the favourite "Discover Scuba Diving" courses recently and we have seen some excellent demonstration of skills from our novice divers. This course is excellent as a start up course for those who just want a glimpse into the underwater world and what Tenerife diving has to offer.

Dive Master Update

Our current Dive Master interns have been busy with their skills and stamina and have gained some excellent scores for these. Felipe is currently completing his Rescue Diver course and has been doing a few Specialties too. David is almost there and has a few sessions in the pool left to complete and a rather nice 400 Meter timed swim left to do. Pete is also nearly finished and needs to complete some pool sessions and his 400 meter swim too. All the guys are doing a great job and we will be proud to send them out as Professional divers.

Of course we will also be helping them all prepare for their Instructor courses next year. Pete & David will be completing their instructor course in February, whilst Felipe is aiming to be back here in Golf del Sur next May for his.

Special Offers on Diving in Golf del Sur

Amarilla Divers always have some special offers running in the dive centre in Golf del Sur. This month we are offering the Emergency O2 Provider course FREE with and Emergency First Response Course. This will give you the Primary Care (CPR) & Secondary Care (first Aid) certificate and also the use of AED’s plus using an O2 kit.
