Amarilla Divers

Well many things have been happening over the last few weeks and as the run up for Christmas approaches we are getting ready for our annual Christmas Eve dive. We have said goodbye to our current Dive Master interns David & Felipe. They were both here with Amarilla Divers for 3 months to complete all their PADI Courses to take them to professional level. David left us an Assistant instructor and now goes back to Sunny Scotland, where he intends to open up his own PADI dive centre in Fife. He will be back for his instructor’s course early in 2012, but for now is braving the SNOW in Scotland.
David completed lots of Specialty courses whilst in Tenerife, some of which will be very handy in the UK waters. He also did lots of training for his Assistant instructor course and will now be teaching a few courses while waiting for his Instructor training.
Felipe went back to the UK after his 3 months here with Amarilla Divers and has said he would like to come back next year for his instructor’s course too. Felipe came out as a non-diver and went away a professional. He did many Specialty courses too whilst here and managed a fair few dives too. We hope to see both back next year.
Pete is still working his way through his Dive Master whilst working too. Hopefully Pete will have his theory done in early January 2012.
New Dive Masters
So we have now been joined By Dannii, a resident here in Tenerife and she will be completing her Dive Master course before she travels round the world. First stop will be Thailand we think and she will have a fantastic time I am sure. As a resident Dannii is in the shop a few days a week so I am sure some of our regular divers will meet her soon.
We also have some new Dive Master interns starting in February, after we return from our holiday. So if anyone is interested in starting their Dive Master internship, then please come down and see Mary or email us at the email address on our Amarilla Divers website.
Christmas Eve Dive
Our annual Christmas Eve dress up dive is getting rather busy this year! We currently have 18 divers for the morning session with another 5 divers for the afternoon. This is a great days diving and we have Santa making his regular appearance, with many of his Elves and some other cheeky character too. Mince pies and drinks after the dives. Pictures will be placed on our Facebook page and also on the website.
Dive Center News
Amarilla Divers in Golf Del Sur have just recently been awarded its 5 Star PADI Dive Resort rating. This is an excellent achievement and we have worked very hard to gain this. It has only taken one year from getting our PADI status and will allow us now to use our instructors to their full potential.
We will now be offering the PADI Assistant instructor course in our Golf del Sur Dive Centre PLUS we are also going to be offering some excellent new special offers. From January 1st, Amarilla Divers will be offering the PADI Master Scuba Diver for €500. This will include 5 specialties and the Master Scuba Diver certification. This can be done over a period of time and you will not be restricted to what specialties you choose.
The PADI Master Scuba Diver course is the highest non-professional certification for recreational divers and means that divers have had rescue training and further education with the chosen 5 specialtiies too. Interested??? Come and have a chat with us.
So at Amarilla Divers in Golf del Sur, we would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and we look forward to seeing you soon.
