Amarilla Divers

Sorry for the delay in our regular blog, we have been busy with the Golf del Sur summer season with lots of diving and courses. We had many of our return customers over the month of August and this time they came back to do some PADI dive courses. Tony was with us for his Rescue Diver course, Emergency First Response course and some Specialty courses, Deep & Digital Underwater Photography.
Golf del Sur Diving Courses Run Last Month
We also ran a new Emergency O2 course for our Dive Masters and locals, which was very popular. We are now offering this to clients who are divers & non- divers. We had lots of different types of other courses going on this month with Scuba Diver courses, Open Water courses, lots of Discover Scuba Diver courses and we also had some of regular Bubble Maker team back. We had Anabel back for her Seal Team upgrade and she did such a fantastic job that we know she will do great new year for her sea dives.
We also has Louise back for some more pool sessions as well as some new members of the Bubble Maker team, Euan, Liam & Lewis.
We also were over the moon that we are now able to get back to 2 of our favourite sites at Abades, the mountain is back open and so is Partridge Bay. This is great news as these offer some stunning underwater scenery.
Our Dive Master Interns
Amarilla Divers as you know has been offering Dive Master Intern places over the summer and Rachel, Iain & Ben were the main 3 for this period. We are pleased to let you know that the all passed their Dive Master and Rachel & Iain went on to complete their PADI Instructor course here in Tenerife. They both passed with excellent scores and will now go off and teach diving to the masses. Rachel will be travelling to Thailand and Iain will be here in the Reef for a while yet. Ben has gone back to Sunny Scotland! we hope we will be seeing him soon enough for some recreational diving in our warm waters.
So we needed some replacements!! and so we welcomed Pete a local diver form Tenerife, David from Scotland and Felipe from Brazil. They will be us for 12 weeks to complete their Dive Master course and Pete & David will be back in February for their Instructor course.
They have been busy getting dives in and doing their PADI courses from Open Water through to Rescue with a few Specialties too. We will be working hard with them over the next few weeks to get them ready to sign off as Dive Masters.
Winter Internship Places Available
There are still places available for the winter internship from end November through to January and these are open to residents too. If you are interested then pop down to see us at the shop on the Aguamarina Golf Apartments opposite the Wilde Geese pub in Golf del Sur.
