Horse riding is available in Tenerife very close to the resort of Golf del Sur. The Pura Vida Riding School which was formally known as Rancho Grande is located just a couple of kilometers from the Golf del Sur Resort in the south of Tenerife. It is situated on Amarilla Golf resort which now adjoins Golf del Sur. The horse riding school itself is positioned at the bottom of the number one fairway a few hundred yards from the main golf clubhouse. Access is granted by a concrete path directly adjacent to the golf pro shop and parking is also available here if you have arrived by car.

With new owners now in charge, the Horse Riding Centre has taken a leap forward. It is nicely refurbished and they cater for everyone’s needs. Still available are all the usual treats like the trekking into the wilderness, whether it is for a full day or a few hours. The nice thing about Pura Vida is that they are fully geared up to take children and are also able to cater for those with mental and physical disabilities.

Highly trained staff are on hand to offer a professional service, with a smile, on anything and everything to do with horses and horse training.

Horse riding lessons are available from the complete novice up to the more confident of horse riders. Trainers are always available and Pura Vida Riding School can cater for everyone’s individual needs.

Lessons start from just €18 for a one on one lesson and €15 for a collective lesson. This is for a half hour session. For a one hour riding lesson, prices are €28 for an individual session and €20 for a collective one.

If you are a confident rider then you will have a great experience with Pura Vida Horse Riding School. Horses are available for clients without supervision, allowing you the time to enjoy your day at your own leisurely pace. Horses are available at €30 for the first hour and €55 for two hours. Day treks can be purchased at €100 for a full days riding.

For the little ones and less confident children who have not been horse riding before then the horse riding school has a few pony’s which are available for €10 for a fifteen minute lesson.
